Creating BIM content is a thankless job that never ends… But that’s ok, Sumex Design isn’t looking for appreciation or notoriety, we build content because that’s what makes the BIM world spin on its axis. BIM Content is more than just Revit families. With the increasing number of Virtual Reality (VR) tools like Enscape, the need for more robust BIM content is on the horizon. VR models are only as good as the content in the model. If your product is highly ornate, detailed and usually visible in 3D views, consider having us slingshot your BIMContent into the next evolution using Autodesk Inventor. Check out what we’re doing with our Content 2.0 initiative.

It’s not as easy as it looks…
Developing BIM content is much more than a conversion process where you simply save from CAD to BIM, and it's not as straightforward as one might hope. The process of creating BIM content is a complex, ground up operation regardless of how good your SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro Engineer or AutoCAD or other 3D CAD files are… This is where Sumex Design steps in for the assist.
A thankless task…
BIM content tools are not easy to use and are even harder to learn, and we've got the keyboard marks on our foreheads to prove it. It takes experience, creativity, know-how and sometimes a little good old-fashioned brute force to make Revit do what you need it to. With 15 years experience developing both generic and product-specific content, Sumex Design has the experience and expertise to represent anything that needs go into a project. Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural… we've probably done it before.
The right tool for the job…
The manufacturing and design worlds use different types of graphics for different reasons. Designers that rely on BIM aren't usually looking for the complex detail that manufacturing graphics include. While an ornate, high fidelity piece of content might look amazingly realistic, architects need nothing more than small, conceptual versions of products that reasonably represent the product. If al you need is BIM, you don't need to break the bank to do it. If you need multi-functional models that can do more than that, contact us about our product development and VR grade program BIM Content 2.0.
